DIY Fall Mums & Maple Leaves Teardrop

This week our floral designer Tim created a stunning Fall Teardrop that is gorgeous! He used one of our Evergreen Teardrops and our popular Maple Leaf Swag to create this showstopping piece. He also used one of our Fall Mum Floral Bushes, 2 types of Fall Ribbon and Fall Floral Accents. The components used in this teardrop could easily be adjusted to fit any decor, color scheme or season. You can create one of your very own using the steps & supplies listed below.

Supplies needed:

  • To get started, make sure you have gathered all of the necessary supplies.

  • Tim began this design by cutting the Maple Leaves Swag into 4 sections and adding them into the Evergreen Teardrop. He layered the sections of Maple Leaves in between the branches of the Teardrop and used hot glue to secure them.

  • Once all of the Maple Leaves had been added, Tim then began to add the two Fall Ribbons to the Teardrop. He began at the bottom of the Teardrop and created three loops moving up the Teardrop. He left the tails long at the bottom and cut them into a dove tail. He then tied a 4 loop bow with the remaining ribbon and attached it to the top of the teardrop.

  • Next Tim began to add the Orange Mums to the Teardrop. He cut each stem off of the floral bush and used hot glue to secure them to the teardrop. He layered them in between the Maple leaves on either side of the piece.

  • After all of the Mums had been added Tim moved onto the Cedar Sprays and Champagne Glittered Juniper. He cut both into multiple sections and then hot glued them throughout the teardrop. He focused the Cedar sprays around the edges of the piece with a few mixed into the middle. He added the Champagne Juniper throughout the teardrop to add bits of sparkle.

  • After you have finished adding all of the components you will have a gorgeous Teardrop to use throughout your home!
