DIY Fall Pumpkin Grapevine Wreath
DIY Fall Pumpkin Grapevine Wreath
This week our floral designer Tim created a Fall Pumpkin Grapevine Wreath. This wreath is perfect for welcoming your family and friends throughout the Fall season. The color combinations with the hints of natural elements make it perfect to use indoors or outdoors. You can create one of your very own using the steps and supplies listed below.
Supplies needed:
- (1) 18" Oval Grapevine Wreath
- (1) 7" Fall Pumpkin
- (2) Fall Blue Leaves with White Pumpkins Floral Bush
- (1) 20" Australian Fern Greenery Bush
- (1) 26" Cattail Grass Bush
- (1) 32" Fall Berry Spray
- (1) 2.5" Navy & Orange Pumpkins Ribbon
- Hot Glue
- Floral Wire
- Scissors
- Wire Cutters
- To get started, make sure you have gathered all of the necessary supplies. Remember that this Wreath can be created with any number of color combinations. Any Fall Bush or Accents could be used in place of what we have chosen.
- Tim got started by attaching the 7" Pumpkin to the lower right hand corner of the grapevine. He used a good amount of hot glue to attach the pumpkin to the wreath.
- Once the Pumpkin had been added, Tim began creating a base around the Pumpkin using the Australian Fern. He cut individual pieces off of the main stem and added them to the wreath all around the Pumpkin.
- Next Tim began adding individual pieces of the Blue Fall Leaves Bush to the same area. Tim mixed these pieces in with the Australian Fern and then worked his way up the right hand side of the Wreath. Creating a crescent shape.
- Tim then added individual pieces of the Cattail Bush to the Wreath. He added several pieces to the right hand side of the Wreath and then a few to the left also. These cattail pieces give the Wreath more texture and height.
- To add more pops of orange and red, Tim used the 32" Fall Berry Stem. He cut this stem into multiple sections and then placed it around the Pumpkin using hot glue.
- To finish off the Wreath Tim tied a 4 loop bow using the Navy & Orange Pumpkins Ribbon. He placed the bow on the Wreath opposite from the Pumpkin. He left the tails longer to weave them away from the main bow. He also added a few sprigs of the Blue Leaves Bush behind the bow.
- Once you have added all of the components you can come to a stopping point. You will have a gorgeous wreath that you can use throughout the Fall season.
