DIY Sunflower Tribute Memorial Saddle
Few flowers symbolize warmth, love, and cherished memories quite like sunflowers. This week, our talented floral designer Susan created the beautiful Sunflower Tribute Memorial Saddle, a heartfelt arrangement designed to honor a loved one's life with beauty and grace. Featuring vibrant golden sunflowers, rich blue hydrangeas, and delicate white daisies, this stunning tribute offers a comforting expression of remembrance while celebrating a life that brought light and joy to others. The bright, uplifting colors create a meaningful display of love, hope, and everlasting memories. Follow along below to see the steps to make one of your very own.
Supplies needed:
- (4) 20" Spring Sunflower & Hydrangea Floral Bush
- (3) Silk Leather Leaf Bush
- (1) Cemetery Saddle Casket Piece Frame
- (1) Floral Styrofoam Block
- Hot Glue
- Wire Cutters
- Here's a look at all of the supplies that were used.
- Susan first started this Saddle by adding a layer of Leather Leaf Fern to the Styrofoam. She dipped each piece in Hot Glue before adding it and she worked her way around the Styrofoam spreading out the pieces as she went.
- Once the first layer of Leather Leaf had been added, Susan moved on to adding the florals. She cut each of the Bushes into separate sections and then grouped each floral together. She then worked with each set of florals separately adding all of that one floral before moving on to the next. She added Hot Glue to the end of each stem before placing it in the Styrofoam.
- Once all of the Sunflowers had been added Susan repeated the process with the Blue Hydrangeas and the white filler Daisies.
- Once all of the florals have been added you will have a stunning Memorial Saddle that can be used throughout the Summer and well into Fall.
