White Poinsettia Christmas Memorial Saddle

This week, our talented floral designer Tim has crafted a stunning White Poinsettia Christmas Memorial Saddle, blending elegance with a deeply meaningful tribute. Let’s take a closer look at this touching creation, designed to bring comfort and light during the holidays.You can create one of your very own using the steps and supplies listed below.

Supplies needed:

• (1) Saddle Frame
• (1) Styrofoam Block
• (3) White Poinsettia Bush
• (1) Silk Leather Leaf Bush
• (4) 18" White Berries & Gold Magnolia Leaves Floral Pick
• (9) 20" Cedar Floral Spray
• (1) 2.5" Gold Damask Natural Linen Ribbon
• Wire Cutters
• Scissors
• Floral Wire
• Hot Glue

• Before getting started, make sure you have gathered all the necessary supplies. This Saddle can be made with any combination of floral bushes and stems. Feel free to adjust the colors or season to fit your needs.

• Tim began this design by putting the styrofoam on the saddle frame. He put hot glue on the prongs on both ends of the frame to help secure it into the styrofoam.

• Next Tim created the base of the saddle with the Leather Leaf Fern. He placed the individual stems around the perimeter of the styrofoam creating a skirt. He added a bit of hot glue to each of the stems. Once the perimeter was covered he moved up on to the surface of the styrofoam and added a few pieces there too.

• Once all of the Leather Leaf had been added Tim moved on to adding the White Poinsettias. He cut each bush apart so that he had individual stems to work with. He also placed 6 of these around the perimeter, leaving an open space on the top to add the bow.

• Tim then tied a 3 loop bow for the top of the saddle. He used floral wire to secure the bow and then placed it into the styrofoam.

• Tim then filled in the top of the Saddle with the remaining White Poinsettias.

• To add more Christmas Greenery Tim placed the Cedar Spray throughout the saddle. He added a bit of hot glue to the end of each stem.

• To finish off this piece Tim added each of the White Berry Sprays to the saddle. 

• When you have finished adding all of the components you will have a gorgeous Memorial Saddle that you can use throughout the Holiday season and through Winter too.
