DIY Candy Cane Christmas Cheer Arrangement

Get ready to add a touch of sweetness to your holiday décor with this week’s DIY Blog feature—the Candy Cane Christmas Cheer Arrangement! Our talented floral designer, Susan, created this festive piece using a charming ceramic Santa container brimming with classic holiday whimsy. Bright red and white candy canes, glittering peppermint accents, and lush greenery come together to capture the magic of Christmas in a playful and nostalgic way. Whether displayed on a kitchen counter, entry table, or as a cheerful centerpiece, this delightful arrangement is sure to spread holiday joy all season long.

Supplies needed:

  • Here is a look at everything that you will need for this arrangement.
  • Susan started this arrangement by first filling the Santa container with Styrofoam. She cut the Styrofoam in half with a knife and then hot glued the pieces to the bottom of the container. She then stacked additional pieces on top of the first piece to help fill the container.

  • Once the Styrofoam had been added, Susan then began to add florals to the arrangement. She started with the first piece of Flocked Pine. She kept this piece whole and did not separate any of the branches. She then added the first Candy Pine Pick to the center of the arrangement and a few pieces of the Cedar Spray.

  • Next she cut apart the Emerald Green Willow spray into multiple sections and added that to the arrangement.

  • Susan then added the second Candy Pine Pick and both of the Tinsel Candy Cane Sprays to the arrangement.

  • She then began to fill in the arrangement with more of the Cedar Sprays. She did cut these into separate pieces to distribute them throughout the arrangement. She secured each piece with Hot Glue on the end of the stem.

  • Next Susan added both of the Christmas Candy Ball sprays to the arrangement. She left both of these intact and spread them stems apart to give them some separation.

  • Once all of the components had been added this arrangement is ready to brighten up someone's home for the Holidays.
