DIY Crimson Christmas Grapevine Wreath
This week’s DIY Blog features the Crimson Christmas Grapevine Wreath, a stunning creation by our floral designer Susan. This elegant wreath beautifully captures the warmth and sophistication of the holiday season with its rich crimson velvet poinsettias, frosted evergreens, and glistening gold accents. The arrangement is gracefully tied together with a grand layered bow of deep red and pine-patterned ribbon, while a trio of golden bells adds a timeless touch of Christmas charm. Perfect for welcoming guests with festive elegance, this wreath is sure to make your door sparkle with seasonal cheer.
Supplies needed:
- (1) Grapevine Wreath
- (3) 22.5" Burgundy Velvet Poinsettia Stem
- (3) 31" Gold Glitter Fern Spray
- (3) 32" Flocked Norfolk Pine Spray
- (2) 19" Flocked Norfolk Pine Bush
- (4) 20" Cedar Floral Spray
- (2) 33" Red Berries Floral Spray
- (1) 1.5" Dark Red Laser Edge Velvet Ribbon
- (1) 2.5" Rustic Christmas Trees Ribbon
- (1) 4” Dark Red Velvet Laser Edge Ribbon
- (1) 1.5" Gold Embossed Vines Christmas Ribbon
- (1) Gold Metal Hanging Bells
- Hot Glue
- Wire Cutters
- Scissors
- Chenille Stems/Floral Wire
- Here is a look at all of the supplies that were used in this Wreath.
- Susan started this Wreath by first creating the large Bow for the top of the Wreath. She layered each of the ribbons beginning with the (2) 1.5" ribbons creating two loops of each and then layering the 2.5" and 4" ribbon. She left the tails longer to add texture to the Wreath. She used a Chenille Stem to tie the Bow and then used that same Chenille Stem to secure the Bow to the Wreath.
- Once the Bow was secured Susan moved onto adding the different Greenery pieces in and around the Bow. She cut each stem/spray into multiple different sections and added them to the Wreath using Hot Glue.
- Next Susan worked on the bottom section of the Wreath. She tied the Gold Bells to the bottom of the Wreath where they would hang down. She secured them with a Chenille stem and then began adding more of the same Greenery from the top around the Bells creating a base layer for the Burgundy Poinsettias.
- Susan then added the Burgundy Poinsettias, Gold Fern and Red Berries to the Bottom. She placed two of the Poinsettias back to back and then the third to the left of the pairing. She added in the Gold Fern and Red Berries as accents throughout the bottom; securing everything with Hot Glue.
- Once all of the components were added the Wreath was complete and ready to welcome Family & Friends throughout the Holiday season. This Wreath can be recreated using all of the supplies listed above and it is also available for sale in our Longview, TX location. (Unfortunately we cannot ship this piece)
