DIY Fall Sunflowers Teardrop
DIY Fall Sunflowers Teardrop
This week on the DIY Blog, we're featuring a stunning Fall Sunflowers Teardrop design created by our talented floral designer, Susan. Bursting with warm seasonal charm, this arrangement blends vibrant florals, coordinating ribbon, and 10" deco mesh to create a welcoming touch for your door or wall. Susan cleverly used the deco mesh not only to add texture and fullness but also to beautifully conceal the evergreen teardrop base—making it an easy and elegant project for all skill levels. With its sunny blooms and rich autumn accents, this design is the perfect way to transition your décor from summer into fall.

- Before getting started, make sure you have gathered all of the necessary supplies

- To get started, Susan first fluffed out the Evergreen Teardrop to help form its shape. Then she cut each color of the 10" Deco Mesh into (12) 12" strips. She then rolled each one into a tube, pinched them in the middle and placed them in between the branches on the Teardrop. She used the same branches to help tie the tubes down to the Teardrop. She added the tubes up and down both sides of the Teardrop spacing them out as she went.

- Once all the tubes were placed, Susan moved onto tying 4 Bows for the Teardrop. 2 larger Bows for the top and bottom of the Teardrop; 2 smaller Bows for the middle. For the top and bottom she created stacked bows of 4 loops out of each ribbon. She wired them together and then used the same wire/chenille stem to tie the Bow to the Teardrop. In the middle section she created 2 two loop bows using all three ribbons and offset them in the middle of the Teardrop. She also used a chenille stem to secure these to the Teardrop.

- Once all of the Bows had been placed, Susan moved onto to adding the Greenery. She cut each Grass Bush into separate sections and then placed them throughout the Teardrop. She used Hot Glue to secure the sections.

- Once all of the Greenery had been added, Susan moved onto adding the Florals. She first cut apart both Sunflower Bushes. She added the first set throughout the Teardrop using Hot Glue to secure the pieces.

- Next she added the first of the Fuchsia Queen Ann Spray. She cut this spray into individual sections and then placed the pieces throughout the Teardrop.

- Then she worked on adding the remaining Sunflower Bush to the lower part of the Teardrop.

- Lastly she added the Purple Waxflower Spray throughout the Teardrop. She cut each spray into separate sections and used Hot Glue to secure each piece.

- After all the florals had been added Susan took a step back to make sure there were no holes that needed to be filled. The finished result is a stunning Teardrop that is perfect for the transition from Summer to Fall.
