DIY Jack O Lantern Arrangement

This week our floral designer Tim put together this adorable Jack O Lantern Arrangement that is the perfect piece for Halloween. Welcome friends, family and trick or treaters with this fun piece. He used a variety of Halloween Florals and the sweetest Metal Jack O Lantern. You can create one of your very own using the steps and supplies listed below

Supplies needed:

  • To get started, make sure you have gathered all of the necessary supplies

  • Tim started this arrangement by cutting the styrofoam to fill the inside of the Jack O Lantern. You will want to put hot glue on the bottom of each piece to help secure it.

  • Next he put two small strips of the Black Velvet Ribbon in between the styrofoam and the holes for the eyes and mouth. This covered the green styrofoam.

  • He then put one of the Ghost, Candy Corn & Lollipop Sprays into the styrofoam. He cut the majority of the length off of the stem and placed in in the middle of the sytrofoam. He fanned out each piece on the stem to spread them out evenly.

  • Next Tim cut individual pieces off of the Black Spikey Ball Spray and added them to the arrangement around the center spray. He added hot glue to the end of each stem to help secure it to the styrofoam.

  • He then added sprigs of the Candy Corn Spikey Ball Spray to the arrangement. He also added these around the center spray.

  • To fill in a bit, he used the Candy Corn Spray and cut it apart into individual pieces. He placed these throughout the arrangement and around the lower part of the arrangement.

  • Next Tim tied a small three loop bow using the 1.5" Black Velvet Ribbon. He used floral wire to secure the bow and then attached it to the front part of the arrangement.

  • To finish off the arrangement Tim added the last Ghost, Candy Corn & Lollipop spray to the back to the arrangement giving the overall piece a little more height.

  • When you have finished adding all of your components you will have a fun and festive arrangement that you can use for years to come.
