DIY Patriotic Arrangement

This week on our blog, we're proud to spotlight a stunning creation from our talented floral designer, Susan. Just in time to celebrate the season of red, white, and blue, Susan has crafted a breathtaking Patriotic Arrangement that perfectly captures the spirit of American pride. With bold pops of color, thoughtful accents, and a design that speaks to both tradition and elegance, this arrangement is more than just a bouquet—it’s a tribute. Whether you're decorating for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, or simply honoring the stars and stripes year-round, this piece is sure to be a hit anywhere in your home. Follow along below to learn how to create one of your own.

Supplies needed:

  • Before getting started make sure you have gathered all of the necessary supplies

  • Susan began this arrangement by first trimming the Styrofoam to fit in the center of the charger plate with a knife. She then used hot glue to secure the Styrofoam to the plate.
  • Once the Styrofoam was secure Susan placed both Stars and Stripes Sprays in the center of the Styrofoam. She trimmed some of the length off of both stems and then angled them into the Styrofoam. She used hot glue to secure both pieces and she separated the stars to spread them out some.

  • Next Susan created the Mesh tubing clusters to place on one side of the arrangement. She cut 6 pieces of Mesh 10"-12" each of each color. She then rolled them into tubes and clustered one of each color together. Once together she used a greening pin to attach them to the Styrofoam. She made 6 clusters in total to add to the arrangement.

  • Once the Mesh had been added to the Styrofoam Susan began adding the florals and greenery. She cut apart the Patriotic Floral Bush and began adding the pieces throughout the arrangement.

  • Next Susan began to work in some of the greenery that was selected for this arrangement. She also alternated between the greenery and the florals as she worked her way around the charger plate.

  • As she worked her way around the charger plate, Susan also used the Maidenhair Fern greenery. She cut this into individual sections and used Hot Glue to secure each piece. She also continued to alternate between adding florals and greenery throughout the arrangement.

  • Once all the florals have been added Susan came to a stopping point. This arrangement would be perfect to use at any tablescape or surface in your home throughout the Summer months.
