DIY Wicked Whimsy Halloween Grapevine Wreath
Get ready to add a little Wicked Whimsy to your Halloween décor! Susan has created this eye-catching grapevine wreath featuring a playful mix of black, orange, purple, and pops of hot pink, with harlequin patterns, swirled candy accents, spooky bats, dramatic florals, and whimsical ribbon. Supplies needed:
- (1) 18" Oval Grapevine Wreath
- (2) 11" Black Fantasy Flower Pick
- (1) 11" Red Fantasy Flower Pick
- (4) 31" Black Glitter Twig Spray
- (1) 17" Hot Pink & Black Glitter Pumpkin Ball Pick
- (1) 16" Purple Glitter Button Fern
- (1) 24" Halloween Bat Spray
- (2) Harlequin Curly Floral Spray
- (2) 24" Silver Willow Spray
- (2) 18" Cedar Bush
- (1) 1.5" Black Velvet Ribbon
- (1) 2.5" Orange & Hot Pink Harlequin Ribbon
- (1) 2.5" Halloween Whimsical Spiders Ribbon
- Wire Cutters
- Scissors
- Hot Glue
- Chenille Stem/Floral Wire
- Here is a look at everything that Susan used in this Wreath.
- Susan got started with this Wreath by first tying the Bow for the top of the Wreath. She tied a couple loops of each ribbon and then layered in the next repeating the process. She left the tails long on a few of the sections so that they would hang down the front. She secured the Bow with a Chenille Stem and used that same Chenille Stem to attach the Bow to the Wreath.
- Next Susan took individual pieces of the Florals and added them in and around the Bow. She used Hot Glue on the end of each piece to secure them to the Wreath.
- Once Susan finished with the top of the Wreath she moved on to working on the bottom section. She used the remaining Ribbon to tie a smaller Bow for the bottom of the Wreath. She tied a single loop out of each Ribbon and then secured that with a Chenille Stem.
- Susan then repeated the same process as above with adding the Florals in and around the Bow.
- Susan then added the Fantasy Flowers to the bottom of the Wreath and continued to add more of the Floral accents throughout the Wreath.
- She added the Silver Willow and Purple Bead Grass throughout.
- Susan then added more of the Pink and Black & White accents to the Wreath.
- Susan finished off this Wreath by adding the last two Fantasy Flowers and a final few accents.
