DIY Christmas Rose Memorial Cone

Elegant and timeless, this week’s featured design is the Christmas Rose Memorial Cone, beautifully created by our talented floral designer, Clare. This heartfelt piece showcases a stunning combination of red and white open roses, symbolizing love, remembrance, and peace, all accented with gold Christmas florals for a soft seasonal shimmer. Thoughtfully designed to honor cherished memories during the holidays, the Christmas Rose Memorial Cone offers a meaningful way to celebrate loved ones while embracing the beauty and warmth of the Christmas season.

Supplies needed:

  • Here is a look at everything that we used in this Memorial Cone
  • Clare started this Memorial Cone by first adding a full Bush of the White Roses to the center of the Styrofoam insert. She pushed the entire Bush down into the Styrofoam with a bit of Hot Glue on the end of the stem. She then spread the Roses apart to separate them some in the center of the Cone.

  • Clare then added decorative Gold Pine Cones to the top of the Cone. She trimmed the end of the stem a little so that the overall height of the stem matched the top of the Cone. (At the time of posting this Blog we were sold out of the Gold Pine Cones; we still wanted to show how adding any Seasonal Accent Florals can change the theme of the Memorial Cone)

  • Next Clare cut the Red Rose Bush into individual pieces and began adding them to the Memorial Cone. She started with the shortest pieces first and added them to the lowest part of the Cone. She used Hot Glue on the end of each stem before placing it into the Styrofoam.

  • Next Clare began to fill in with the Gold Honey Locust Spray. She cut each of these into individual sections before adding them to the Cone.

  • Then Clare cut apart the Laurel Berry Bush into individual sections and also added them to the Cone. She used Hot Glue on the end of each stem to help secure it into the Styrofoam.

  • Next Clare began to fill in the midsection of the Cone with Red and White Roses. She alternated the colors to help disperse them evenly throughout the Cone.

  • Clare then filled in with a few remaining pieces of the Gold Honey Locust spray.

  • To finish off this Memorial Cone Clare added a skirt of Leather Leaf Fern to the bottom of the Cone. This can also be used to fill in throughout the Cone if needed.

  • When all of the components have been added you will have a gorgeous Memorial Cone to use to honor your loved ones.
