DIY Stink, Stank, Stunk Christmas Mesh Wreath

We are jumping head first into Christmas this week! We have so many great collections and styles to showcase this year. We are getting started with this super festive Stink, Stank, Stunk Mesh Wreath featuring everyone's favorite Christmas villain! Our floral designer, Tim used a variety of Christmas Florals to put this design together. You can create one of your very own using the steps and supplies listed below!

Supplies needed:

  • To get started, gather all of the supplies that you will need. Remember, you can adjust or change any of the florals, ribbon or mesh that was used in this wreath.

  • Before you add anything the the Wreath you will want to fluff the branches on the wreath.

  • Tim then covered the surface of the Wreath with 10" Mesh folded puffs. He did this by rolling out about 12" of the Mesh and then folding it accordion style in the center. He secured the puff with a piece of floral wire and then tied it to the Wreath. He placed about 8-10 puffs on the surface of the Wreath until the entire thing was covered.

  • To add the Stink, Stank, Stunk sign we cut the string and then used it to tie the sign to the wreath frame. We also secured those strings with a bit of hot glue. The sign was tied so that the sign would hang in the center of the Wreath.

  • Next we added ribbon tails to three corners of the Wreath and then a Bow tied with both ribbons to the upper right corner.

  • Now we are going to start adding the different floral accents. The Grinch himself is placed just below the sign on the right hand side. Tim trimmed his stem just a bit and then used hot glue to help secure him to the Wreath.

  • We cut the Red & White Striped Frizzy Stem into three sections and then placed them throughout the Wreath.

  • We also cut the Red & Lime Green Glitter Ball Sprays into multiple different sections and placed them throughout the Wreath.

  • We repeated the same process with the Lime Green Fuzzy Balls.

  • One of our last florals is the Lime Green Glittered Fern. Each of these can be cut into several sections. We separated them and then placed them throughout the wreath.

  • The last piece that we added is the Lime Green Poinsettia. We placed this across the sign from the Grinch. Once you have added this final piece you will have a festive Wreath that can be used throughout the Christmas season.
